In House Meet: Saturday, May 26th
May 8th
Our first in house diving meet with Bryan and Coach K will be Saturday, May 26th at 10am. The meet should run until around noon followed by the pizza party so, plan on being there until 1pm. We understand this is Memorial Day weekend however with our busy schedules over the past few months and the upcoming summer this is the only time we had free.
All divers need to report to the pool at 9:30am to stretch and select their dives with their teammates. For those of you who have not participated in an in house diving, it is a relaxed competition where divers are put into mini teams. It is a lot of fun and a great way to get to know your fellow teammates! Following the meet we will be having a pizza party sponsored by the team. We look forward to seeing everyone there!

Diver of the Month: Maggie Merriman
Apr 9th
JO3 Hot Shot group member, Maggie Merriman, is YCF’s Diver of the Month for March. Maggie was a member of YCF’s 2011 JO National Team where she was a two-time finalist in the 11 & under age-group. This year Maggie has dedicated herself to perfecting her line-up and working on her strength. She has increased the degree of difficulty in her lists for both the 3-meter and platform events, learning an inward 2 1/2 and back twister. Maggie competed in the 12-13 age-group for the first time this year at East Regionals where she qualified (on both 1 and 3-meter) for East Nationals. We look forward to watching Maggie continue to excel throughout the season.

New Practice Times – This Week Only
Mar 20th
Due to sheer numbers and size of the NCSA Junior Nationals meet being held at the Aquatic Center this week, we will have to alter our practice schedule. Unfortunately Tuesday we are only able to offer 1 practice time for all lesson and JO1 which will be from 6:30-7:30. This class will be coach by joey Dowd and myself therefore we will have 2 coaches on deck so, that we can split the groups and maximize our time. Unfortunately we will have to cancel all lesson-JO2 classes for Wednesday- Friday. We will have make up classes for all of these groups so, please get with me or coach K for your make ups. Let us know which days and times work for you for your make ups and will try our best to accommodate. Here’s our schedule for the week:

| Lessons | 6:30-7:30 | No Practice | No Practice | No Practice |

YCF Diving Welcomes Coach K
Mar 14th
YCF Diving is please to introduce our new coach for Lessons and J01, Michelle Koch or “Coach K”. It has been a long search, but Coach K will do a fantastic job with our up and coming divers.
Coach K comes to YCF diving with years of experience as both a coach and a diver. In fact, Coach K was a former member of Team Orlando Diving. She then went on to coach alongside Curt McCoy at Patriot Aquatics where she coached the novice and intermediate groups. Most recently, Coach K has coached the Oviedo and Seminole high school diving teams and assisted in running and judging their competitions.
As we begin the transition of a new coaching staff, Coach K will work closely with myself by taking over Courtney’s current JO 2 and 4 groups while Wally and Joey will continue with the lessons and JO 1 until April 1st when Bryan will be joining the team. Coach K will be on pool deck immediately so please come by and introduce yourself as she is very excited to meet and become a part of our team.
