History
The All Star Challenge begun in 1985. Over the years, teams and individual divers from Brazil, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Great Britain, Italy, Mexico, Puerto Rico, Russia, South Africa, The Netherlands and Venezuela have attended. Recently it has become a popular event for the best divers in the world to compete in head-to-head competition. It has been televised by FOX TV, and sponsored by such corporations as Nike, Radisson Hotels, Universal Studios, Sea World, Panera Bread Company, Outback Steakhouse and Hoolihans Restaurants.
YCF Diving, formerly Team Orlando Diving, affiliated with the YMCA of Central Florida (YCF) on August 30, 2010. Joining the YMCA has allowed our diving program to have more resources and a larger impact in Central Florida. This opportunity will allow us to become bigger and stronger then ever. We are committed to uphold the great tradition that our program has had of being one of the premier programs in the nation to best host diving meets. Head Coach Mark Ruiz is a 2000 & 2004 US Olympic Team member and a 22 time US National Champion. Courtney Mcclow (Assistant Coach) is a 4 time all ACC Athlete and a 2 time ACC Champion for FSU.
